Urvish Patel, Physiotherapist

Urvish is a dedicated and compassionate physiotherapist, who graduated in 2011 and having special interest in Musculoskeletal and Sports injuries. Urvish takes a holistic and patient centered approach to patient’s care, integrating evidence based practice with personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.

Urvish has a certification of IMS and continuously seeks to expand his knowledge through ongoing professional development and training. He strives to make a positive impact on individuals’ lives by empowering them through education and hands-on therapy; also with helping them regain function, and mobility.

When he's not in the clinic, he enjoys cooking (experimenting new recipes) and spending time with friends.

Ila Katariya, Physiotherapist

Ila is a registered Physiotherapist, she graduated in 2013 from South Gujarat University with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree. She worked in various hospitals and private clinics, settings and accumulated over a decade of experience in this field. She has an enormous amount of experience in treating different age groups with various conditions, including motor vehicle accidents, Acute chronic neck pain, Back pain, Neuromuscular and Post-surgical conditions.

Ila keeps herself updated with continuous education to enhance her knowledge and professional skills. She achieved Functional Dry Needling Certification from KinetaCore, USA and also certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. She strives to provide high-quality patient care and designs customized treatment plans, including specific exercises, manual therapy, stretching, education and dry needling/acupuncture.

Ila believes that pain and injury can disrupt all aspects of life; therefore, the primary goal of treatment is to return the patient to their activities as quickly and effectively as possible. Her primary focus is providing quality hands-on manual therapy in conjunction with an individualized exercise program and functional movement to help her clients return to the lives they want to lead. She can speak English, Hindi and Gujarati, due to the nature of her work, she is also known as “CareTherapist.”

Outside of her professional work, Ila likes to cook, read spiritual books, do yoga, and loves spending time with her family, especially with her two daughters, Tiana and Sia.

Shital Parvadiya, Physiotherapist

Shital is a physiotherapist of Ellerslie Physiotherapy and Wellness Center. She graduated in 2011 from VNSGU, Gujarat, India with a Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy. This is where her fascination for the human body, passion for exercises and love working with people to help achieve their goals and find success really flourished. She dedicated her whole career working with sports, musculoskeletal and neurological Injuries.

She has skills as a manual therapist with myofascial release, Level 1 Orthopedic Division and Mobilization. She also received further training in functional and biomedical dry needling and concussion management.

When she's not in the clinic, you can find her running after her son and teaching group fitness classes. She also lived for meditation, yoga and getting outside for some fresh air in the form of walking or running. She says that life is precious, and hopes to be able to get you back to enjoying your life and your activities as quickly as possible.

Jocelyn McCaw, Massage Therapist

Jocelyn is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from MaKami College in 2015. She is currently a Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) member.

Jocelyn has extensive experience and is highly skilled in massage therapy, including myofascial release, PNF stretching, pre-and postnatal massage, deep tissue, therapeutic cupping, and neuromuscular therapy. She loves educating her clients and giving them the proper tools to maintain and continue a healthy lifestyle.

Sefali Gorasiya, Admin Assistant

Sefali is an administrative assistant with a proven track record of organizing and streamlining workflow processes to enhance the Clinic’s productivity and performance. She is highly organized and efficient and has two years of experience as an administrative assistant.

Ann Varghese, Admin Assistant

Ann is a dedicated student at the University of Alberta and a part-time receptionist at our clinic. She has a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service and strives to create a warm and welcoming environment for every patient. Her enthusiasm and commitment make her an integral part of our team.
